walking on thin ice

I know I should not worry myself too much, but SPM trials is around a month away only. There's this anxious, unstable feeling inside me that i can't explain. Gotta do really well for trials if I want to apply for the Taylor's School Principle Scholarship. The problem nowadays is that I can't 100% concentrate when studying. And when I bersemangat to study, I am not in the right place and at the right time. Even now precious minutes are ticking away while I am posting this blog.

Anyway, last night went for Marshall's farewell dinner. But Marshall by that time had flew back to the US, citing family problems as the reason for not turning up. So instead this event became Eric's, Michael's and Yi Chong's birthday dinner. About 25-28 people came...Avin and Jin Howe bought their PSP along to play each other in FIFA 2008. In the end, most of guys had their chance in playing FIFA 2008.

Prefect camp 2008 and prefect AGM

On board the bus to KKB

Some people are extremely camera shy :-)

The first to go down

'Catch me!'

Make way for the KP!!

Hey look!! I am in the picture

Posers...

This is what happens when I lend my camera to Justin C...Presenting the group that won everything: the DSG

And of course I won't forget the other team: Spartacus

After the obstacle course..

Before this my shirt was white!!

It was actually Siew Sanz's birthday on 20 June

Jungle tracking-to say it wasn't fun is an understatement

Trying to prepare a fire pit for the campfire...it was abandoned later on :-(

Naj the blind guy in the very-last minute-planned game

Rui Sheng's turn...

What do we do during our free time at night? Play cards, talk, talk and talk

Building DSG's raft - it was a success..it managed to stay afloat until we tore it down

Time to go home..and catch up on some sleep

It was generally a great and fun camp. The only downside is the laid back manner of the camp facilitators, the food and of course the abandoned campfire. There are actually more pictures but I want to cut it short. Other activities while in camp included flying fox, cobweb and football. Certainly I will cherish memories of this camp forever.

Prefect AGM

Yes, its AGM again. One year flew past pretty fast. I remember last year I was quite nervous to see who will get what post. The Form 4s were definitely very worried. After every 2007/2008 AJK finished his/her speech, the new AJKs were presented. To say I was surprised is an understatement. In fact, 'shocked' is the better word. My successor is a chap by the name of Daniel. I don't want to discourage him but he is going to have a torrid time in the kantin. I sincerely hope that the school know what they are doing. To me they seem to go for popularity this term.

To MT, R and those who cried, this is not the end of the world. Cheer up and support your new AJKs. I genuinely know how u feel.

Sliding into nostalgia again?

I keep telling myself to forget about it, to forget about that person and move on...but its hard. Especially if you notice those around you. Its really hard to accept that sometimes you are in the wrong place and wrong time. I keep on thinking about it and it really inhibits me. It also dims my view of this world.

And more than once I wished I wasn't so bold coz' it caused me more than friendship. In this whole wide world only 3 person would probably understand this. What if this is not going to be the last time? I would probably shatter...

Chinese Restaurant Galore

Jaya Palace

Went there on Friday night with some family friends. Food not bad but service is a little slow.

An example of the decor in Jaya Palace. Not bad. Environment quite conducive.

Soup in old cucumber plant - Unusual..didn't like the old cucumber

Guess who I saw there? Michael Chong, who is the MCA Public Services and Complaints Department Head. He is the dude in the yellow shirt and with his back against me.

Another unusual dish : Eggplant stuffed with fish fillet

Damansara Palace

I celebrated my grandad's birthday there with a lot relatives on the Ho side of the family.

Back from Kuantan

Just arrived back from Kuantan on Wednesday. A supposedly 4 hour trip at the most became a frustrating 5 hour slog in the traffic. Not only that, the Toyota Camry my family were in was pretty low on fuel. And we could not fill up anywhere because every petrol kiosk in Klang Valley was packed with desperate and 'kiasu' people trying to pump before the fuel price went up. Some petrol stations even ran out of fuel (supposedly). Now the petrol price is at a staggering all time high.
Based on The Star Online:
> Bus and lorry companies announced that they are increasing charges or will be forced to stop services;
> The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers said its members will pass on any increase in costs to consumers;
> Hawkers and other food operators will wait and see before raising prices.

And it so happens to be World Environment Day today. The usual advice comes flooding out of newspapers and radios such as take public transport, walk instead of drive, recycle etc.

The big question is : Are you doing your part in saving Mother Nature?
The motto this year is Carbon Dioxide: Kick the Habit! - Towards a Low Carbon Economy. How?
Simple. Use less of your electronic equipment such as air-cond and don't leave computer on for long hours, etc.
Anyway, got to go for accounts tuition soon. There's a test and as expected I did not study. Wahliu, 3 hours accounts..Blimey, I will fall asleep.
